We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant artistic community in Cómpeta, Andalusia. Our mission is to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary creativity, providing a space where artists can collaborate, inspire, and connect through shared experiences and cultural exchange.

The 17th Cómpeta Art Walk

Step into Casa de Artistas during the 17th Art Walk in picturesque Cómpeta.

We are opening our doors in the heart of the village to share a vibrant showcase of contemporary craft and creative exchange.

Karin Van Beeck, Belgian ceramist

Based in the Andalusian campo, Van Beeck explores the world of papier mâché: colours, textures and shapes. 

Caroline Theodor, Belgian visual artist

As the founder of Casa de Artistas in Cómpeta, Caroline’s creative practice explores abstraction, collage, and tactile media.

Call for Submissions: Encuentros Winter Exhibition

Casa de Artistas invites artists across Cómpeta and the Axarquía region to submit work for our inaugural winter group exhibition, "Encuentros".

Rooted in the light and spirit of our white mountain village, "Encuentros" is a celebration of local dialogue, diverse mediums, and creative connections. Whether you work in mixed media, painting, photography, or sculpture, we welcome your vision.

  • Exhibition Dates: December 4 – 20, 2026

  • Eligibility: Local & regional artists (all mediums welcome)

  • Submission Deadline: October 31, 2026
